Flota Occidental User Reviews
Flota Occidental receives praise for its friendly staff, clean buses, and comfortable seating. Passengers appreciate the smooth boarding process and pleasant bus terminals. However, some reviews mention extended travel times due to multiple stops or unforeseen delays like tire issues. Additionally, there were occasional concerns about air conditioning leaks and bathroom availability on board. Despite these challenges, many travelers still find their overall experience satisfactory with Flota Occidental.
Prompt pick up. More than enough leg room for a man of 6 foot 6/205cm. I think these buses are only for the longer journeys. Arrived 30-45 minutes early, mostly due to the fact it was overnight, but I'd heard horror stories of the 6 hour bus actually taking 9+ hours. There's no tray table to put your phone on, but that's minor when the price is so low.

Comfy bus, quick boarding process, kind staff. But, the journey only takes 4.5 hours and it was extended to 7 hours due to 3-4x stops. Two were bathroom breaks (though one of those lasted 30 minutes+. people were hanging out with snacks etc at the service station), one was unexplained, and during another the driver was having a sit down meal and we were there for an hour. It was a bit frustrating that the journey was so long for seemingly no reason. Breaks are good but I thought that one break in 4.5 hours would’ve sufficed. 2.5 hours were spent at random stops.

My 6-hour turned into ~14 hours. At least the driver stopped at a restaurant after we passed whatever caused the standstill. Very frustrating.
Melanye C.
The journey took nearly 2 hours longer with additional stops diverting the bus from its original route. The wifi was not working also.

Bus from Medellin to Salento was perfectly fine. There’s heaps of legroom, you’re not cramped at all. The bus left on time and only got in about 15 mins later than scheduled. Would recommend.

The seats do not recline. The seat map is not correct. The first row of passenger seats only consists of one seat, not two.
