Drop off was 3 hours late in Cape Town. This caused huge cost from my side by missing my appointments.
Not Intercity's fault but toilet overflowed and entire bathroom covered in human waste.

My boarding stop was at 262 Cape Rd Port Elizabeth. Time on the ticket was 21h50. The bus arrived at about 22h55. Even though I had a valid ticket, there were no seats available on the bus. There were 4 travellers with tickets at this stop who had not seats. Two travellers removed their luggage and left. The office operator moved one person out of his seat to make place for me. The person who was removed from his seat then sat on the stairway next to the driver. The other passenger used the fold up seat next to the door. How can the bus be overbooked by 4??. During my previous travels (on other service providers) I noticed drivers picking up passengers from the roadside and then sharing the money amongst themselves. This could be one of those.
The bus departed 262 Cape Rd Port Elizabeth
at 23h12, then stopped at the Port Elizabeth Airport (for no reason because no on got into the bus). The bus left the airport at 23h55 and arrived at the "Old Marine Drive" at 10h16 - 3 hours 16 minutes late.
Passengers have shared positive experiences with the bus service, highlighting that the buses were in good condition and provided a safe journey. However, some users mentioned delays of up to two hours without prior notification and non-functional charging sockets as areas for improvement. Despite these issues, travelers appreciated arriving safely at their destinations.

So first off, amp is pretty cost effective, which is great. But here’s the thing, the bus was one hour and didnt send out a notification to say that they are delayed.
But they did make up for it by being on time despite the delay, which was impressive.
But the biggest problem that I have is that there were multiple small cockroaches on the seats and floor of the bus. It was incredibly disgusting, no matter how quick my ride was, I have to take into account that it is unacceptable for a bus to have cockroaches

Bus was supposed to depart at 17:10, a message came to say it is delayed and will only depart at 20:10. The bus didn't arrive at that time, no further updates, no one picked up the phone when we followed up. Passenger gave up at 22:00 and left. Unacceptable situation.

The bus was 3 hours late for pick up and they kept sending messages of delays that most people on the station were saying it's a norm. I was late for my appointment because of that.

This was the worse service I ever had. The bus was late by more than an hour and departed after two hours. There was a lot of commotion in the bus with people having to stand in the passage due to over booking. I have decided not to ride with the bus again.

This was the worst bus trip of my life and I take a lot of bus rides. It was over packed. It was dirty. It stunk of urine! We felt like sardines. And it was 2 hours late. There was supposed to be charging ports but there weren't. The absolute worst!

We are only leaving now that time I was suppose to be in Cape town and the sad part is that has cost me emotionally and financially because I had to use an uber to get to the station yesterday and I received the communication about the shooting but the fact that I'm only leaving now doesn't sit well with me and I will never use your services ever again because the communication was very poor.
