Greyhound Australia User Reviews
Greyhound Australia receives praise for its punctuality and efficient customer service, with users appreciating the friendly staff. However, some reviews mention concerns about seat comfort and cleanliness due to leftover food smells in seat pockets. Despite these issues, many travelers report having a good journey overall.
This was the first time we travelled via Greyhound and had an excellent experience. The coach was clean and comfortable for long distance travel. The driver was friendly explained the ground-rules very clearly. We will recommend Greyhound to family and friends and will definitely use the service again.

The bus was not clean and smelt of food left in seat pockets. However, on time and good journey.

Convenient, comfortable and on time

Well we got pulled over to the HGV check stop on Pacific hwy which was fine - officer did his legally required checks etc. Then we had to wait ages for a mechanic to arrive (which we had no communication from greyhound comms to say if he was actually coming or to give us an eta etc) to put in a bolt for an issue that wasn’t the original one. To compound this the USB charging point wasn’t working and the toilet on board was broken and so was out of order. The fire alarm randomly went off as well disturbing everyone onboard from sleep. Fast forward to my destination and instead of arriving at 5am, it’s not til 7.30am after making up over an hour of time on the road (kudos to the driver - forgot his name (wears a cowboy hat and got married in Scotland). He was very professional throughout in what must’ve been a really challenging situation and managed to make good time on the roads. In short, would I recommend greyhound again - probably not.

The bus was supposed to leave Sydney at 6:30 am and arrive in Canberra at 10:15 am, but unfortunately, it arrived at Central Station around 7:30 am and reached the final destination later than expected.
